Bring the spa feeling to your home, and your friends will never want to leave. It is fun to enjoy such luxury and pampering with people you love!

You can even include these ideas in an adult slumber party for your girlfriends, and relive the days of your youth!

Invitations:

An easy idea is create an invitation that looks like a gift card to a spa

 

Decorations:

Party Decorations aren't really necessary, other than something to really create a peaceful and stress-free party environment. Here's how... 

  • Dim lighting to set the mood, with lots and lots of candles.
  • The party area should be clean and clutter-free. Think simple.

    •  

    Food:

    Think "spa cuisine." You might want easy-to-eat finger foods, but if you go for something heartier, serve a typical spa menu.  

  • An assortment of light, fresh-tasting finger foods (such as fruits, vegetables, shrimp, etc.)
  • Salads
  • Chocolate dipped strawberries
  • Champagne
  • Wine
  • Assorted bottled waters and spritzers
  • How about a cute spa party cake of someone lounging in the tub?
  • Or, since we all like to shop (right?) a purse cake could be served

    • Music:

  • Something relaxing!

    Activities:

  • Greet your guests with a warm, damp washcloth. It can be instantly so relaxing and refreshing. Place rolled washcloths in a crockpot to keep them warm.
  • Have someone come in to do spa treatments such as pedicures, manicures, facials and massages (chair or full body.) Hand and arm massages, or feet massages are nice too! Call your favorite salon to negotiate a price.
  • Have someone who can tell about essential oils give a presentation.
  • Consider having your guests come in their PJ’s.
  • You can do a little craft, making bath salts and this can double as a party favor.
  • If you have a big budget for your party, provide a robe for each of your guests to wear.

    Party Favors:

  • Bath products and personal care products are a perfect remembrance of your party  (you could even assemble an assortment and make a gorgeous gift basket as a door prize).

    • How to make Bath Salts

    You need:

    • 1 cup Epsom salt
    • 1 cup sea salt
    • 1  teaspoon essential oils
    • food coloring (optional)

    Combine the first three ingredients in a large bowl, then add essential oil and stir. Some recipes call for you to add baking soda if you wish. To tint them to a color, add drops of food coloring to the bowl after you add the essential oils, and stir. Place in mason jars or in small bottles from the dollar store.
