  • Cookie Cutters

I have a lot of cookie cutters. Some I inherited from my grandmother. They a beautiful, metal ones with little handles.

I've also purchased some in unique shapes over the year to go with a particular theme, such as the state of Texas shape, or a Fleur de Lis shape.

But my best use is from the set of Betty Crocker cookie cutters that I bought years ago. The set includes numbers, letters, and all sorts of shapes! They come in different sizes too. I not only use them on cookies, but have cut out sandwiches with them for years as well, as well as used them for drawing stencils when necessary. They have been well used at my house, and for one price you get most of the cookie cutters you will ever need!

    More Ideas

If you are having a cookie decorating party, you have two options...

One is to pre-bake the cookies in assorted shapes. That way the cookies are already made, and just need to be decorated. You can furnish the cookies along with all sorts of fun, edible decorating items as well as decorating tools.

The other option is to roll out and cut out the cookies as a party activity. As this can take some time to do, it is better suited for when you have a lot of time together, such as at a sleepover party.
