What I like do for my kids parties is have all the kids come in and do a craft to distract them. That's only for my girls, my boys like to play video games. Some fun crafts are making friendship bracelets, but let them use some glow in the dark beads and some regular beads. Mix them up and don't tell them there are some glow in the dark ones. Then turn off all the lights and see who has the most.
