Gnome Party

We love the movie Gnomeo and Juliet.

My daughter took her friends to see the movie for her kid birthday party. Then for the gnome theme party favor, I made little bags for each girl full kisses that had been decorated to look like gnomes.

To make them, just cut a circle from felt. Cut a line to the middle of circle, then make it into a "cone" shape. This will the gnome's hat. Use hot clue to glue it into position. You can hold it in place with your fingers, but if you are making a lot of them it is easier to paperclip them into place while the glue hardens.

Then, glue the hat onto a Hershey kiss (don't use hot glue here - use regular glue. The hot glue can melt the kiss!).

Then stick on googly eyes.

They are really cute and were a big hit with the girls.

If I was doing this party in my home, I'd probably let the girls make gnomes themselves as a gnome party craft, and maybe even paint little gnome figurines too. I think they would like that.
