Proving that you can celebrate and throw a party for any occasion...

How to celebrate (is that the right word...?) sending in your tax return on April 15th? A Tax Party!!

This is a money party - either you have it, or you don't (and mourn it.) So, the theme could go in two different directions as adult party ideas.

First, you could celebrate money. Decorate in green, have fake paper money everywhere.

Champagne fountains, chocolate fondue, and as a matter of fact, you could even have a bit of caviar would be a nice touch.

In the bathrooms, you could even put a supply of toilet paper that looks like money!

If you want to really go all out, you could even set up a casino.

Great Gatsby Party would fit for this time too!

You could also play the match game by using wealthy celebrities as your subjects.

Now for the other extreme...being out of money!! Time to go into mourning!

  • Tablecloths could be made out of old newspapers (the financial pages)
  • Withered flowers
  • Foods like pork and beans
  • Wear black arm-bands
  • Cover everything in black.

Do you have any great ideas for a April 15th Tax Party?
