Trash Art Game

by Elizabeth
(Dallas)

We do the "trash art" that you have listed above, but we give each team things like tape, cotton balls, Q-tips, toothpicks, popsicle sticks, pipe cleaners, styrofoam peanuts, aluminum foil, string, etc. Then they have to invent something or create something with the supplies. We give prizes for the wackiest, most functional, etc. We try to have a prize for each team, but that would be hard to do if your group is really big!

We do very small teams – usually 2 to 4 people. Otherwise it gets to hard because there are too many hands involved. Rather than having a set time we just kind of eyeball it. If they are nowhere near being done after 5 minutes, no use calling time – give them more. Just depends on the group as to how fast they create.
