When I think of winter wonderland, I immediately think of winter, Christmas holidays, that sort of thing. But you could actually use this theme in the summer (sort of the opposite of having a beach party in the winter…)
Some of these ideas could even be adapted for an ice skating party at your local ice rink!
Of course, for the kids (or the young at heart) you can include a snowman or snow sculpture building contest!
So, enjoy these ideas and have a great party!
Winter Wonderland Invitations:
Purchase or make a snowflake stamp. Use white ink to leave snowflake impressions on card stock that is a dark color – such as dark blue or black. Party details can be printed on white paper and glued on the front, back or inside the invitation.
Use snowflake shaped invitations and decorated with crystals. You can either make your own or purchase.

Decorations:
Use colors of white, silver and blue
Use clear and/or blue Christmas lights
Make snowflakes from tissue paper to hang on the walls and from the ceiling
Build snowmen out of white styrofoam balls and place around the party or use as centerpieces
Use balloons in white, silver and blue
Scatter silver snowflake shaped confetti on the tables
Use silver serving pieces
Use batting or tulle/netting as snow and sprinkle with white glitter – use on tables or around the room
Use clear and/or blue Christmas lights in the trees outside your house as well!
