Gingerbread House Making Party

I'm sure a lot of people make gingerbread houses but last year I tried something a bit different.

Instead of just making the houses with my family, I invited over our friends to join us. There were 5 kids and 5 adults (my husband was deployed). We had a lot of fun. Some kids had never done this before and they all had a blast.

There was only one house that got messy and we were able to look and get ideas from each other’s houses. We all had a blast!

Afterwards we did a pinata (more candy:)) and the kids exchanged presents.

It made a somewhat sad holiday for my son and me so much more enjoyable being able to share our holiday tradition with others.

This is a great idea and different from the usual cookie decorating parties.

Cool idea

That's a neat idea. Sounds like something fun for a neighborhood to do together or even a church could do. Even have a contest to see who has the best gingerbread house.

Best tradition ever.

I do this almost every year with my friends. It's probably one of my favorite Christmas traditions. This is the best idea on this list.
