How to Make Plantable Paper
Making plantable paper is a fun craft that is also a great way to recycle.
You can make the paper and then turn it into party invations, which would be a step towards making your party green.
Then, when planted, it should grow beautiful wildflowers!
You'll need:
Large Bowl of warm water
Packet of wildflower seets
blender
9 x 13 baking pan
6 x 10 inch piece of window screen, with edges covered in masking tape
1 1/2 cups of 1 inch scraps of newspaper or construction paper
Let the scraps of paper soak in the warm water overnight.
Place paper in the blender and fill blender half way with water, then blend until it is thick and soupy.
Place the screen in the bottom of the baking pan, add some water, then pour in the blended paper. Add the wildflower seeds and mix well.
Lift the screen gently, so that the blended paper and seeds remain, but the water stays in the pan.
Lay the screen out to dry for at least 24 hours. You may need to keep moving it from towel to towel so it can dry underneath.
When dry, remove from screen. You've just made paper you can plant!
