Easy Party Appetizer Recipes

Here are some of our favorite party appetizer recipes, including dips and finger foods.

These are simple to make and delicious!

Dips



Sandi's Buffalo Chicken Dip
16 oz. cream cheese softened
2 cans chunk chicken
3/4 cup Franks Red Hot Sauce (original)
1 cup ranch dressing
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Mix all ingredients together. Place in glass baking dish. Sprinkle more cheese on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. (Sandi served this one night at bunco and it was very popular! Everyone wanted to add this to their easy party appetizer recipe box!)

Artichoke Dip
1 (15 oz.) can of artichokes, drained and chopped
2 medium onions, minced (optional)
1 cup mayo
1 cup shredded parmesean cheese

Mix ingredients and bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Can be served hot or cold, but is best when warm.

8 Layer Dip
bean dip
avocado dip
sour cream picante sauce
chopped green opinions
chopped tomatoes
chopped black olives
shredded Mexican Blend Cheese

Layer items in a serving dish in the order described. Serve with tortilla chips. Yum!

Fruit Dip
One (8 oz.) jar of Marshmallow Whip
One (8 oz.) package of cream cheese.

Mix. Serve with fresh fruit.


Pumpkin Dip
One 15 ounce can of Libby's 100% Pure Pumpkin Two 8 ounce packages of cream cheese, softened 2 cups sifted powdered sugar 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Beat cream cheese and pumpkin in large bowl until smooth. Then add sugar, cinnamon and ginger. Refrigerate 1 hour. We love to serve from a small hollowed out pumpkin with ginger snap cookies. Also great with sliced fruit! (great easy party appetizer recipes for Halloween party food or on your Thanksgiving menu!


Cheese Balls



Pineapple Cheese Ball
2 (8 oz.) packages of cream cheese, softened
1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained
1/4 cup green pepper, finely chopped
2 tsp. onion, finely chopped
1 tsp. seasoned salt
2 cups chopped pecans

Cream cheese with ingredients minus 1 cup of pecans. Roll cheese into a ball and then roll in the remaining pecans. Best made a day in advance of serving, and served chilled.



Finger Foods

Sausage Balls

1 lb. sausage
1 (8 oz.) package shredded Cheddar Cheese
2 cups bisquick

Mix and roll into balls. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes (or until brown).

Cheese Crisps

12 oz. sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1/2 lb. margarine
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
2 1/2 cups Rice Krispies

Mix all ingredients except Rice Krispies. Add Rice Krispies. Drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet. Spread very thin. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes or until cooked thoroughly.



Breads



Monkey Bread

4 cans biscuits
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 1/2 tbsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup of butter

Cut each biscuit into 4 pieces. Combine sugar and cinnamon. Roll biscuits in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Place each into a bundt or angel food cake pan.

When cake pan is full, add remaining sugar/cinnamon mixture to butter, put on the stove and bring to a boil. Pour over biscuits. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Invert onto a plate and serve warm.


Chelsea's Banana Bread

1/2 cup butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cup flour
1 tsp. soda
pinch salt
3 ripe bananas
1/4 cup chopped nuts - optional

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add well-beaten eggs. Sift flour, salt and soda together and add to butter/sugar/eggs mixture. Mash bananas, add nuts if desired, and add to mixture. Bake in a pan for approximately 45 minutes (or until baked through to the center). Makes one loaf.


Best Ginger Bread Ever!

2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 cup molasses
3/4 cup hot water
1/2 cup butter (softened)
1 egg
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Combine all ingredients and mix well. Pour batter into a greased and floured square baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 to 55 minutes or until done. Yummy with whipped cream and apple slices!
